Embankment, Castle district

What is your favourite not so much known but nice and interesting outdoor place?

- The part right below the Fishermans bastion, with the stairs and benches.

When is Budapest the most beautiful?

 - In spring, and in the evenings with the lights.

Do you know special stores in Budapest?

- Well, I like the „turkálók” what are places to find cheap and used clothes. But I have a much stronger attraction to the stores selling works from Hungarian Applied Artists. There you find real treasures…

Here are my favourites:

Látomás: a place where you can buy works of talented Hungarian applied artists. Youngish,  extravagant clothes, accessories…

They have a few stores, get some information on http://www.latomas.hu/

RETROCK DELUXE: modern, exclusive and enchanted clothes designed by Hungarian applied artists. Budapest, Henszlmann Imre u. 1.

Further, a great design fair is the so called „WAMP”. It takes place once every month, and is a really unique thing.

„It’s a community event taking place once or more than once a month in the hub of Budapest where emerging Hungarian designers showcase their works.”

If you are here on a WAMP day, don’t miss it! http://www.wamp.hu/

What is your favourite building?

- I have many...  Kodály circus..really beautiful..and that two symmetric cornerhouses at Ferenciek tere stretching towards the Danube (Klotild-Palace – the editor).

What do you think is the pub/bar with the best athmosphere?

-         Szimpla!

Where do you get the best coffee?

Coffe Heaven..I am sorry it is not a Hungarian place though…

What is that appeal of Budapest other european cities do not have?

- The city is large-scale and generous, but yet people-friendly.

What is your favourite Hungarian dish?

 - Hortobágyi pancake :)
